Dr Chan Kok Yu is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Joint Replacement & Sports Surgery. He treats conditions and sports injuries of the knee, shoulder & hip. His place of practice is at the Gleneagles Penang Hospital, Penang, Malaysia.

Dr. Chan obtained his medical degree from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1999. He subsequently underwent specialist training in orthopaedics and was awarded his specialist degree (Masters of Orthopaedic Surgery) from the University of Malaya in 2008. Dr. Chan is registered as an orthopaedic surgeon in the National Specialist Register, Malaysia. In 2010, Dr. Chan did fellowship training in joint replacement & sports surgery at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He also trained in knee cartilage repair surgery in Rosemont, Illinois, USA in the year 2012 (Arthroscopy Association of North America Master Course). In 2015, Dr Chan underwent training in hip arthroscopy in York, United Kingdom.
